Mosaic continues to expand

Crespo Gao is joining Mosaic as a new principal consultant.

Previously he was the chief risk officer at Momentum Life. In that role he was a member of the executive leadership team, reporting to the chief executive and the board.

His responsibilities included risk management, legal compliance, quality assurance, internal audit, underwriting and customer complaints functions for a licensed insurer and financial advice provider.

Gao has also had risk and compliance roles at JB Were, Mercer and KiwiWealth.

Gao, on his LinkedIn profile, describes himself as "a high-energy and accomplished business leader who is passionate about helping organisations achieve strategic and commercial objectives while managing risks and rewards intelligently."

"I think strategically while linking risk and compliance outcomes to organisational objectives, design and integrate existing and new risk and compliance frameworks for organisations and provide a commercial lens to emerging business opportunities," he says.
