Leaks drive developer to central-city tower

Auckland property developer Tim Manning has bought into Brent Clode's 1 Parliament St development in central Auckland, saying the leaky buildings crisis has driven him out of the suburbs.

Manning, founder of New Zealand's largest condominium developer, Taradale Properties, said he had taken control of the project to build the 19-level apartment tower. He hopes it will be worth $60 million on completion.
