July issue - available now

Every issue of the NZ Property Investor magazine will continue to bring you all the news, tips and statistics you need to keep your property investments humming in 2008.

The government is shaking things up at the moment with all the changes they’re pushing through Parliament – but we won’t go there. Where we will go though (in detail), is the proposed changes to the ‘Landlords’ Bible’, the Residential Tenancies Act.

The act is getting a drastic re-write, and some of the suggested changes will alter the way landlords and property investors do business. Both landlords’ and tenants’ rights are changing. Make sure you find out exactly how the changes will affect you and if you’re not happy, make yourself heard by voicing your opinions!

Another lead feature this month looks at the immigration effect on the property market. It’s a topic that has been long debated and new research has uncovered some surprises as well as lessons for landlords and investors.

Our property guru columnist Michael Yardney talks about the 10 habits you need to adopt to become successful property investors.

Our beginners’ series this month looks at doing the ‘mortgage dance’ and the basics of how to finance a property investment.

We also explore the deep southern town of Invercargill for investment gems. The city proudly boasts New Zealand’s lowest property prices and despite slowing markets nationwide, there are still bargains to be found down there.

This month, the NZ Property Investor is giving subscribers a chance to win one of four tickets to the New Zealand Property Investors' Federation Conference 2008 in Rotorua, each worth $695!
