Sunlight flicker annoys resident

The novelty of having windmills on the skyline has worn off for one Ashhurst resident.

The sun is reflecting off the spinning blades, causing light to flicker through Colin Mahy's North Street home.

It was so bad he had to get out of the house, he said.

"It would drive you mad."

But Meridian Energy spokesman Alan Seay said Mr Mahy should pull his curtains.
