Lim reports on potentially contaminated soils halted

Auckland City Council last night voted to stop its policy of tagging Land Information Memorandum (Lim) reports on potentially contaminated soils.

Monday, November 29th 2004

The council will halt all tagging until an opinion from the Crown Law Office - called for by Environment Minister Marian Hobbs - is available.

Ms Hobbs has indicated she will be guided by the advice and, if necessary, change the law to ensure councils cannot tag Lim reports without proof of contamination.
