Beach apartment bid

Thirty-three submissions have been lodged opposing an apartment block on the edge of Takapuna Beach, on land surrounded by a city reserve.

The Wessim Trust Partnership has applied to theNorth Shore City Council to build a four-storey building of three apartments at 33 The Strand, Takapuna.

A building on the site will be removed. The business zoned site is just down from the Takapuna Boating Club.
