One stage for SH20 extension

Authorities have been quick to dispel speculation that the proposed State Highway 20 extension across Avondale will be built in two stages.

Transit and Auckland City Council have issued statements to the Central Leader saying they want the intended project completed as one job.

The SH20 Avondale project is at the early stages of public consultation. The long term plan is for two SH20 extensions, in Mt Roskill and Avondale, to directly link the north-western motorway (SH16) with the Hillsborough to Manukau highway.
