Warning for buyers over campus noise

The $7 million apartment block planned for Collingwood St has one of its neighbours, the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology, seriously worried.

Many members of the institute's council said they could not believe the development was to go ahead, during a discussion at a meeting on Tuesday.

The campus borders the development site and council members were concerned that apartment buyers would object to the noisy and busy nature of campus activities.
