Landlord 'let down' by the law

A Christchurch landlord who broke the law and left a couple and their three school-age children homeless has won praise from Christchurch MP Marc Alexander.

Stephen and Julie Henderson-McGregor were called to their Linwood home of just four days to find all their belongings dumped on the street, the locks on the house changed, and their life in tatters.

The family claim they were trying to turn over a new leaf, and were never given a chance to prove they could be good tenants because Ms Evans kicked them out just four days into their tenancy.
