Is it wise to use the free legal transfer service offered by Kiwibank when refinancing (rather than paying for your own conveyancing)?

Personally, I'm not really a fan. You are dealing with hundreds of thousands of dollars and I believe in doing so you want good experts on your side which means involving a solicitor. While refinancing can be quite transactional a good solicitor will also make recommendations on what can maybe be improved in regards to your set up at the same stage.
