How do you get your letting fee refunded? Is it possible?

Our Experts Answer:

Your letting fee is separate from your tenancy. It is a fee that has been charged by the letting agent or property manager who conducted the viewings and carried out additional work relating to letting the property to you. These fees are generally not refundable. Whether you are entitled to any refund is a matter between you and the agent. If you feel that you have grounds for a refund I suggest you contact the agent.
