What is the criteria to list a property?
Your listing has to meet at least one of these criteria:

  • Gross Yield
    There should be an 8% minimum gross yield. The gross yield is calculated by dividing the income over a 50 week period by the value (either purchase price or current value) of the property. E.g. if someone purchased a property for $200,000 and it rented for $400 per week, the gross yield would be: $20,000/$200,000 or 10%

  • Instant Equity
    The property is listed with a selling price of at least 10% below registered or government valuation

  • Untapped Potential
    There is the potential to add significant value to the property such as the ability to subdivide, renovate or to add a secondary dwelling.

  • Flexible vendor terms
    The vendors are willing to offer minimum 20% finance terms to the purchaser, such as delayed finance or vendor finance.

What happens if my listing is rejected?
We will contact you within 48 hours if we feel your listing does not met our criteria and contact you for more information. If your listing doesn’t meet the criteria, your payment will be refunded.

How do I pay?
We currently accept credit card (Visa, Amex, Mastercard) and your card will be debited automatically and a receipt will be emailed to you upon payment approval.

What if I have bulk properties to upload?
We can arrange for our web developer to get in touch and import your listings directly. Contact us on 0800 345 675. We will discuss a price on application.

Why doesn’t my listing show immediately?
To ensure Investment Gems lists quality investment opportunities a real person will review each listing submitted and will approve or reject that listing within 48 business hours (usually sooner).

How long will my listing show?
Your listing will display for 45 days and then be automatically deactivated. If any of the listing information changes, or if you sell your property within that timeframe, please contact us or call 0800 345 675.

What do I do if my house is sold?
Contact us and we can display a sold banner over your listing. The listing remains on the site for the 45 day period.

What if I want to relisted after the 45 days?
You will be sent an email when your listing is nearing expiration, this will contain details on how to extend your listing.

Can I see how many people have visited my listing?
No, not at this stage. We will be including this feature soon.
